Recently we received an awesome shirt that has this amazing technology.  We received the RedHead Nano-Tex Twill Shirts for Men Short Sleeve which is available at Bass Pro Shops and   The shirt retails for $24.99 which is a great price when you consider that it is going to last a very long time.  You are not going to have to worry about stains like you would with other shirts because it has this special stain fighting fabric.  One of the things that I really appreciate about this shirt is that it comes in white as well.  There are many different jobs that require you to wear a white shirt but are not necessarily the best place for you to be wearing white.  If you work in one of these industries you will not have to worry about your white staying white.

Top Stain Fighting Tips

So I thought that I would share my top stain fighting tips with you in celebration of this amazing new technology.

1.  Buy Nanotex Clothing

For my first stain fighting tip I am going to recommend that you take the easy way out.  That’s right, if you buy Nanotex clothing you are not going to have to work that hard (or really at all) to fight those otherwise hard to remove stains.

2.  Start Soaking Immediately

So I know that soaking immediately is not always possible especially if you are out.  For these cases carry stain fighting wipes or pens with you.  This is going to pre-treat your stain so that it hopefully does not set into the fibers.

3.  Pre-Treat

The next thing that you should do is pre-treat  your stain.  You can do this simply by spraying on some stain spray or using a stain stick.  It is a really great thing that you can do to help make sure that you can save the item of clothing.

4.  Wash

Next you will want to wash the item as quickly as possible.  I choose to wash without scrubbing unless I know that it is a tough stain because I am lazy and always doing laundry for six so I already feel like the job never ends.

5.  Check

When the clothes come out of the wash, check them  before drying.  If the stain is still there I try putting a little bit of detergent or a stain booster on it and then I scrub with a hard bristled toothbrush.  This almost always gets those pesky stains out!

Like I said before though,  to really avoid stains in the first place clothing made from Nanotex is great.  You can learn more about this innovative product that is taking the clothing industry by storm by visiting them on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.

Boots That Will Rock Your Festival Wardrobe

Simply Shawn N Jenn Disclosure

Which festival are you going to this year? V Festival, Reading, Download or Creamfields? Maybe you’re even lucky enough to be going to a rocking festival abroad somewhere. Regardless of where you’re going, you’ll want to look edgy and awesome, but you won’t want to bring your entire wardrobe with you; there just isn’t enough room in a tent for that! It’s all about picking a few key pieces that are versatile but also bang on trend. And there’s no better place to start than with your shoes – so here are my tips for finding boots that will rock your festival wardrobe…

Biker boots

If you’re a proper rock chick look no further than some biker boots; you can find these in many more places than a motorcycle shop though! Ladies biker boots will come in a range of heights from ankle up to knee high, so you’ll be able to choose the boot that you find the most comfortable. You’ll find that most biker boots are black, but there are an assortment of decorative additions that set each boot apart. This includes studs and chains in black, gold and silver. Check the tread on the bottom of the boot to see how it will fare in muddier conditions.

If you are concerned about mud – and let’s face it, with the weather in the UK this isn’t exactly unusual – you might want to look at wellies instead. The main benefit of wellies is that they’ll keep your feet dry, but you don’t have to sacrifice style for necessity. You’ll see a lot of men wearing green wellies, but as women there is so much selection! Pick your favourite colour and you’ll be able to find a pair of wellies in that colour, and you’ll even find ones in leopard print or ones with studs. If you don’t want your legs to overheat, choose a pair of ankle wellies instead.

Cowboy boots

If you want to bring a bit of American flair to the festival site, cowboy boots could be the ones for you. If the sun is shining, pair up your cowboy boots with a checked shirt and denim shorts. Alternatively you could go for the edgier look and wear your boots with a floaty dress – it’s very Glastonbury. The great thing about cowboy boots is that they come in a range of colours: brown, black, red, grey and more. A brown pair of boots is a more classic look, but there is nothing stopping you from showing off your individuality on the campsite.

Chelsea boots

Finally, if you want to represent the VIPs of the boot world, Chelsea boots might be more up your street. Patent Chelsea boots are brilliant because they can keep your feet dry, but also are fairly lightweight options. Picture a sleek ponytail, black blazer and these gorgeous boots; you’ll be turning heads in no time at your next festival.

The Secrets to Dressing like a CEO

Simply Shawn N Jenn Disclosure

They say you should dress for the job you want, not the job you have. So what does a CEO dress like? How can you punch up your wardrobe in a way that invokes the power and style of the world’s elite? Here are a few ideas.

Dark Colors
Look for clothing in dark hues, like black, charcoal and navy blue. These all invoke the impression of discipline and authority. Dark colors will also make you appear taller, especially if you match your suit with your socks, making the eye travel smoothly without a visual break.

A Good Fit

You won’t impress anyone if your suit is too baggy in the seat or too tight around the shoulders. Ill-fitting suits are for prom dates and sitcom stars, not future CEOs. Take the time to find yourself a tailor and get fitted for a clean, crisp suit where your knuckles are even with the bottom of your jacket and your sleeves shows no more than half an inch of your shirt cuffs. The hem of your trousers should end neatly above your feet, or “shiver on the shoe.” If you’re wearing a vest, the middle button shouldn’t fall below your navel. [Read more…]

3 Things to Remember about the Right Tie

Simply Shawn N Jenn Disclosure

Kozzi-image-of-a-businessman-conversing-over-cellphone-312 X 416There are many factors you need to consider before you can pick out the correct tie for an occasion. First and foremost, you need to determine what the tone of the event will be; is it a formal event, a business meeting, or just a casual get-together for friends and colleagues? Next, you must ask what you want your tie to say about you; the tie you wear will be among the the first things others see, so what message do you want it to send? Finally, you need to consider the fashion aspect of your selection; some looks simply don’t work and did you avoid that issue in your choosing? The appropriate combination of these three factors will allow you to say something about yourself without having to speak to others; they’ll be able to tell something about you just from looking at your tie.

The appropriate type of tie for an occasion will depend on what type of occasion is in question. For instance, a formal party or business meeting usually requires a certain amount of decorum and sets a serious tone. As a result, many neutral and dark colors are worn, making a good tie selection fall under the same category (darker colors, with easy-to-follow patterns, if at all). However, some parties set up a more relaxed surrounding, giving people the opportunity to where less restrictive forms of neckwear; such a case could be the office worker who, stuck with dark blues and grays during the week, could show his love for a certain TV show at a weekend party by wearing a tie that depicts the Three Stooges (the same could be the case for holiday parties). Always weigh your tie selection against the event in question. [Read more…]
