Many people face problems in concentrating and focusing their mind into studies and with learning disabilities, these feelings could probably be magnified as compared to those who are not suffering from the same conditions. When you think of relaxing you body or mind you might problems since you are not out of the problems or tensions that leaded to stress and surely you can change your way of breathing that might spell relief form a constant irritation to improve the quality of your life. People suffering from headaches, depressions and anxiety could follow the breathing process to get rid of stress and the benefits of breathing go for both normal people and people with ADHD and learning disabilities.
A perceived threat increases our heart rate and the flow of blood and a little is not harmful but if it continues to a long term then it results into depression, unfocused thoughts and anxiety with the host of other problems. . Our minds are occupied most of the time and we breathing techniques are regulated subconsciously by respiratory control centers. We can train our minds by overriding the rhythms generated by these centers. You can easily change the rate at which you breathe an simultaneously send the message to the brain that you are not being easily threatened by the problems that had occupied you mind.
You can easily break your stress cycle and this could be accomplished in easy 4 steps:
- Stop what you are thinking and doing
- Breathe slowly and allow your stomach to expand with air.
- Start shallow chest breathing that we do normally
- Inhale through the nose and count them
- Hold your breath for few seconds and exhale through your mouth and repeat it for several times.
Think little and find out the reason why stress follows you. Check what your mind says and analyze the problem and try to rectify the problem with viable solutions. If you are finding problem with your reading passage then you must analyze why it happens, if still not getting the solution then try to speed at fast speed and at one time you will feel comfortable while you are reading the whole chapter. You will find the clear picture and after that you can check the words and also improve on your comprehension the second time around.
Note: The above two steps are sufficient to relax to a certain stage. Next steps will further elevate the evidences and allow for a more permanent solution to your problem.
You must have seen that the infants are the belly breathers and the by the time they grows up they start breathing from chest due to the “fight or flight response”. You will probably lose the form of your stable body if you will not breathe properly and thus it demands little efforts to get it right to reap the benefits.
